What to Expect at the Test Center
The following rules and procedures are the same for all test centers. If you violate any of them, you may not be allowed to take the test or your scores may be cancelled.
- When you enter the GMAT Test center, you will be requested to show proper ID. The administrator will digitally take your signature, fingerprint, and photograph.
- You will not be allowed to take in any digital equipment, cellular phones, notes, calculators, or other potential aids or distractions. You will be able to leave all your personal belongings in a locker.
- Everything you need for the test will be provided at the test center. The administrator will give you five noteboards to take notes. If you run out of noteboards you can raise your hand and ask for more; the administrator will collect your used noteboards and give you the new ones. You may not take your notes with you when you leave; after the test, your notes will be collected.
- You may not eat, drink, or smoke in the test room. You will be able to eat, drink, or smoke during breaks.
Others may be in the same room taking examinations other than GMAT; in fact, you might be the only one who is taking the GMAT.
